WELCOME TO Q! FILM FESTIVAL BANDUNG

                                    As soon as it gets to its seventh anniversary, Q! Film Festival has finally got the precious chance to hold its well-known, famous, and recognized festival in the city of Bandung. Moreover, the city of Bandung will not only be the city to hold the festival itself, but also the city to hold its festive opening to the series of the fabulous Q! Film Festival in Indonesia.
                              As a feast for your very first experience, we are more than proud to present you with a program which is absolutely not undeveloped to be given away. Under the theme of ‘Youth Revisited’, we would like to shower you with nostalgic, coming-of-age and post-coming-of-age screenings that tells the tale about the stages in lives of queers who have just realized who themselves really are. 
 

Q Film Festival History

                              Seven years is not really easy to reach for a film festival like ours. As people used to say, we are no longer a boy but not yet a man. It is a period of changing and growing into maturity. That's why this year we present films with coming-of-age and journey into adolescence under the theme umbrella called "Youth Revisited". At this tender age, people start to explore, wonder about, discover and shaping oneself into a certain direction in a more stable way. There is always a big question mark, so is Q! Film Festival. Whether we can carry on or not, we don't really know. This is always an exciting challenge for us to examine. And for the very first time, we have the opportunity to establish the festival in Bandung. The film programming has raised in terms of quality. All the films screened this year have been selected in some pretigous festivals, thanks to our official partner and international acknowledgement from Teddy Award section from Berlin International Film Festival. The number of spectators has increased significantly over the years. Apart from the film screenings, there are also Q! Gossips where everyone can chat around over some queer issues.
